C2 - Water Resource and Environmental Engineering

Aim of SIG is to enhance knowledge in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (WREE) by engaging in the research activities and providing need based solution to the societal problems. Also to create an expertise WREE by interacting with the expert, field visits and consultancy work.

C3 - Structural Engineering

Aim of SIG is to impart knowledge of structural analysis software and laboratory testings on structural elements. The SIG will work on developing significant interest in the students towards structural engineering through site visits, workshops, and mentor sessions. Under this SIG, Finite element analysis, Dynamics of structures and Tensegrity structures, etc. are the research areas available for students

C4 - Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering

The aim of Geotechnical and Transportation SIG is to provide effective research and development platform for faculty and students by identifying research needs and equipment’s to develop specialized facility. Also motivate students to give exposure to careers and opportunities in this area.

Research Interest: Soil Stabilization, Application of ANN in Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering Planning.

ASH2 - Basic Sciences

This SIG is conglomerate of Engineering Physics and Engineering Chemistry subjects under one roof. Together the SIG will strive towards doing research in Material sciences, energy and environmental science

ASH3 - Power and Energy Systems

Power and Energy Systems SIG aims to carry out research in the field of Power & Energy Systems. Our vision is to produce new knowledge and deepen understanding in the domain of Electrical Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Electric Vehicles and BMS

ETC2 - Signal Processing

This group emphasizes on creating interest and empower students and faculty in the field of signal processing. Develop new skills and knowledge in advanced Signal Processing, Image Processing, AI/ML and Deep Learning technologies and contribute to IP and publish in quality journals ,also carry out research in advanced technologies, to train faculty and students in these areas, and to disseminate the knowledge gained from the research through scientific publications, conferences, workshops and seminars.

ETC3 - Communication

A group of people having similar likings in the domain of communication engineering to explore the knowledge and research opportunities in the benefit of stakeholders. Moreover to develop the state of the art facilities in the communication domain through industry tie ups.

COMP2 - Biomedical Applications and Soft Computing (BASC)

BASC is formed to encourage faculty to apply state of art methods for proposing solutions for Biomedical Applications and soft Computing. We, at BASC continuously strive for development and transfer of innovative concepts and applications in state of art technology. Our goal is to inculcate research culture at PCCOE, Pune.

COMP3 - Machine Intelligence and Optimization Algorithms

A special interest group, Machine Intelligence & Optimization Algorithms is a team with shared interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge, learning or technology. The members cooperate to produce solutions within Machine Learning and Intelligent System field. An aim is to carry out indigenous, Innovation and Research developments. This shall be achieved by giving exposure of state-of-art techniques, tools used in the machine learning field, by identifying the patterns in data and solve client’s problem using efficient algorithms and by developing systems capable of doing tasks that human performs with thoughts and action derived from intelligence.

COMP4 - Computer Networks and Information Security

Given the rapidly evolving technological landscape and the fact that adoption of software is ever increasing across various sectors. More and more information is becoming digital and accessible through wireless and wired digital communication networks and across the omnipresent internet. All this highly sensitive information is of a great value to criminals and evil doers which is why it is important to protect it using a strong cyber security measures and processes.

IT2 - Computer Network and Security (CNS)

With the help of Computer networking, every user can access all data from the network without any restrictions of place. In today’s world information is building block for effective communication. Every day enormous amount of information generates from various sectors. Providing security to this data has become necessity. CNS-SIG works in the field of Computer Networks, Cloud Computing, Mobile computing, IOT and Information Security majorly.

MCA2 - Data Analytics

Data analytics is a process that empowers better business decision making through interpreting, modeling, and deployment. This SIG will help the faculty and students to learn various techniques to interpret, process and analyze the data.

MCA3 - Application Development

This SIG focuses on identifying the problems in the organization/society and solving it with the help of IT by providing automated solution.
